Welcome to

Helen's Home From Home!

I'm a registered childminder providing care during term time and the school holidays. I live with my husband and 2 children (secondary school age). We also have an older cat called Fonzi who is used to children but prefers to nap all day. I have been a childminder for over 6 years and I have many years experience working with children, previously working as a teaching assistant, and in a nursery. I'm a Hygee in the Early Years Accredited setting. I offer a warm, welcoming, home from home environment. I think carefully about my setting and the play opportunities I provide, ensuring that they spark curiosity and joy, with plenty of relevant learning through play opportunities. I really enjoy working with children, being creative and most of all having lots of fun!

These approaches include influences from Reggio, Steiner, Montessori, and forest school.
